Job Title: Membership Service Representative II

At the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, we're seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Membership Service Representative II. As a key member of our membership operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, guests, and program participants, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants, contributing to member retention and satisfaction.
  • Welcome members as they enter and leave the YMCA, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Greet, engage, and/or tour prospective members and program participants, showcasing our facilities and programs.
  • Support membership operations through the sale of memberships and program offerings, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our programs and services, enabling you to respond to member inquiries and provide expert guidance.
  • Build strong relationships with members, volunteers, and collaborative partners, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Resolve membership concerns and inform supervisors of unusual situations or unresolved issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Maintain certifications in CPR/AED, Blood-borne Pathogens, branch orientation, and Branch Emergency procedures, prioritizing member and staff safety.
  • Adhere to and implement all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Communicate in a positive and professional manner with members, guests, program participants, and volunteers, providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the annual branch Why It Matters Campaign, achieving individual and team goals related to the campaign.
  • Complete all required SPIRIT trainings and apply SPIRIT according to established guidelines, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience.
Requirements:
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem-solve, and possess effective time management skills.
  • Ability to attend, complete, and pass Point of Sale training.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy requirements, not sharing personal information about members.
  • High degree of human relation skills, including effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to establish, collaborate, and maintain relationships with staff, YMCA members, volunteers, schools, and the general public.
Preferred Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, either paid or volunteer.
  • SPIRIT training and experience.
  • Previous YMCA or non-profit experience.
