Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions using IBMi/AS400, Web APIs, and Java to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of APIs.
  • Coordinate with vendors for system administration tasks related to standing up web servers and APIs.
  • Manage competing priorities and ensure timely delivery of API functionalities.
  • Develop and manage RESTful APIs to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Research new technologies and maintain active knowledge of current industry application development trends.
  • Document technical solutions and designs at a level of detail suitable for enterprise architectural review, user training, and ongoing system maintenance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or any advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive experience using IBMi/AS400, Web APIs, REST APIs, and Java.
  • Exposure to CA 2E/Synon tool.
  • Strong understanding of application development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Extensive analysis and design skills.
  • Great communication skills (oral and written).
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changes.
