About the Role

In this hybrid role, you will report to a Software Engineering Manager in the Sensors org. Your responsibilities will include working in a multidisciplinary team environment, designing and implementing data and control flow needed to integrate new sensors into the self-driving car, developing novel calibration processes involving multiple sensors and actuation stages in the loop, analyzing data collected from sensor systems, and supporting sensor manufacturing by customizing existing systems to improve test integration, assembly tracking, and reporting pipelines.

Qualifications
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Built embedded systems with an FPGA
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining automotive lidars, radars, cameras or other sensors
  • Experience in SerDes and sensor drivers
  • Proficient in Python
  • Experience in self-driving cars
Benefits and Compensation

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is $192,000-$243,000 USD per year. Additionally, Waymo employees are eligible to participate in the company's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
