Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily maintenance, repairs, and training for various technical systems supporting the facilities department.
  • Conduct site visits to assess and address the needs of personnel regarding their devices and technical systems.
  • Provide assistance to local Facilities Assistants in maintaining and administering building systems.
  • Utilize tracking tools for effective management of fleet requirements.
  • Coordinate and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Oversee the physical infrastructure of workstations, including VOIP, HVAC control, A/V, and security systems.
  • Conduct user-level adjustments and training on various systems.
  • Regularly verify system parameters and controls, such as access lists and phone routing.
  • Assist in planning and executing system relocations and changes, particularly during construction or remodeling projects.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure system readiness aligns with staff and client schedules.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, vendors, and management through various channels.
  • Work with contractors and professionals during repairs and installations as needed.
  • Support the Facilities Manager and VP of Facilities in local initiatives, including emergency plan updates and fleet management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Acceptable background record check.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of cabling, installations, and repair of common building systems.
  • Experience with hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
  • Capability to work from a ladder while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items, with or without assistance.
  • Position involves approximately 50% desk work and 50% mobility for on-site repairs and installations.
