Job Overview

The Mechanical Technician will work under the supervision of the Express Repair Service Manager to diagnose, repair, and upgrade liquid tanks, truck chassis, and fluid delivery systems/pumps. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to identify and troubleshoot structural and operational problems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose Issues: Identify and analyze problems with tanks, chassis, and fluid systems.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Restore equipment functionality by replacing failing parts and repairing malfunctioning components.
  • Install Upgrades: Enhance equipment efficiency by installing additional parts.
  • Perform Tests: Conduct Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) tests on petroleum tanks and chassis.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using and maintaining various tools (hand, electric, pneumatic, welding/cutting).
  • Ability to read and comprehend work orders, safety manuals, and other instructions.
  • Familiarity with safety standards in motor vehicle repair environments.
