Job Title: Investment Banking Associate - Healthcare

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our Global Healthcare Group in Palo Alto, California. The successful candidate will support our Biotech and Specialty Pharma team in executing equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the execution of complex financial transactions, including equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions.
  • Perform financial analysis, including discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies' analyses.
  • Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses.
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence.
  • Build financial operating models and valuation models.
  • Conduct industry and product research.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently living in Palo Alto, California, or willing to relocate.
  • PhD or MS with post-graduate work experience.
  • 2+ years of investment banking experience ideally in a Healthcare (biotech/biopharma) coverage or in a M&A product team.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously.
  • Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously and a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
