Role Summary
The Patient Care Assistant plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This position operates within the guidelines established by the relevant health authorities and adheres to the core values of our patient care philosophy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Improvement Participation:
Engages in initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality. Identifies areas for improvement and contributes to data collection efforts. Ensures adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.

2. Educational Development:
Actively participates in training programs and utilizes available educational resources to achieve both team and personal development goals. Completes mandatory training requirements and assists in onboarding new staff as directed by the supervising nurse.

3. Policy Compliance:
Delivers high-quality patient care while remaining knowledgeable about job responsibilities and the legal aspects of the role. Maintains active licensure and fosters effective communication within the team. Recognizes and addresses conflicts that may impact patient care or team dynamics.

4. Team Contributions:
Involves in setting unit objectives and assists in the efficient use of resources.

Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Current licensure as a Nursing Assistant is required. Relevant experience in a healthcare setting may substitute for formal training upon successful completion of an approved assessment.

Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in an acute care environment, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is advantageous.

Additional Information
Location: Vidant Health Facility
Shift: Full-Time - Nights
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
On-Call: Not required
