Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing and testing engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and materials management to address ongoing challenges on the production floor, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
  3. Review project timelines with team members to guarantee timely completion of all assignments.
  4. Ensure adherence to ISO-9001/13485 standards and maintain product compliance with relevant regulations.
  5. Evaluate process designs, documentation, tooling, and related materials for compliance with specifications.
  6. Analyze process validation reports and investigate product failures.
  7. Work closely with R&D to stay informed about product roadmaps, upcoming projects, and modifications to existing product lines, serving as a liaison between Operations and Design Engineering.
  8. Engage in the Material Review Board (MRB) process for quality issues related to components, collaborating daily with Quality Control, purchasing, and Supplier Quality Engineering.
  9. Empower and educate the engineering team to develop efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.
  10. Support quality assurance efforts during audits.
  11. Manage Corrective and Preventative Actions assigned to the team, ensuring prompt resolution.
  12. Communicate with suppliers regarding outsourced components, assemblies, and quality or delivery concerns as necessary.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Technology; Electrical Engineering will also be considered.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience managing manufacturing or industrial engineers.
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Proven background as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer or Continuous Improvement/LEAN Champion.
  • Experience in new product launches (NPI), value engineering, and quality/process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on resource availability.
  • A solid foundation in Lean principles with a focus on cost savings in both manufacturing and transactional settings.
