Amentum is on the lookout for a proactive and skilled Strategic Personnel Recovery Specialist to deliver comprehensive research, strategic planning, and analytical support to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM).

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of supporting functions essential for the successful execution of USINDOPACOM's Personnel Recovery (PR) strategic and operational goals. This includes utilizing your PR expertise to counsel the Joint Personnel Recovery Center (JPRC) director and the PR branch chief on critical areas such as action selection, input provision for regulatory updates, and the integration of theater PR for assigned forces. Additional duties involve participation in exercises, contingency responses, and maintaining operational readiness during both duty and non-duty hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough monitoring of the command's PR framework, posture status, and mission tracking, adhering to established standard operating procedures.
  • Execute roles and responsibilities using classified and unclassified cyber tools, maintaining a common operational picture.
  • Track and report on the status of theater PR assets, advising the JPRC director on evolving requirements.
  • Contribute detailed inputs for the development or modification of theater PR plans and intelligence operations.
  • Provide direct support in gathering materials and capturing information for theater PR mission analysis.
  • Assist in managing the execution of theater isolating events, ensuring effective monitoring and coordination of PR tasks.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships across command headquarters and interagency partners, advocating for enhanced PR capabilities.
  • Prepare materials, talking points, and briefing products for PR working groups, participating actively and documenting lessons learned.
  • Operate JPRC equipment and software tools for coordinating PR processes during all operational phases.
  • Offer on-call assistance during non-duty hours for actual or potential isolating events, with a limit of 10 days per month.
  • Support the management of the USINDOPACOM blood chit program.
  • Enhance and maintain PR collaborative tools, ensuring their effectiveness for end-users.
  • Travel for representation at PR summits and conferences, though this will not exceed 10% of your time.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience within the Department of Defense.
  • In-depth knowledge of PR authorities, doctrine, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with strategic plans and the PR appendix to combatant command operations.
  • Experience in developing and delivering briefings to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint tools.
  • Completion of PR 292, Joint Personnel Recovery Coordination course (or equivalent).
  • Completion of PR 300, Personnel Recovery Execution course.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a JPRC, PRCC, or RCC.
  • Ability to work shift or non-standard hours to support JPRC coverage.
  • Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TS/SCI level projects.
  • Capability to provide regular project plans and status updates.
  • At least 2 years in joint or senior command organizations.
  • Understanding of USINDOPACOM missions and responsibilities.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in a JPRC, PRCC, or RCC.
  • Completion of PR 296, DOD Reintegration Responsibilities course.
  • Completion of PR 350, Personnel Recovery Planning course.
