Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems in County buildings, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Direct and supervise custodial and maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Develop and implement new methods and procedures to improve maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design new or remodeled buildings, ensuring compliance with County policies and regulations.
  • Prepare and review departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Oversee the purchase and inventory of janitorial and building maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Ensure staff is up-to-date on County policies, federal and State regulations, and other safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in building maintenance, repair, or custodial work.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
