Educational Program Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the management of designated functions. Ensures that students receive comprehensive educational and industry-recognized training that leads to successful employment, further education, or advanced training opportunities. Provides individualized case management to support student progress, retention, and successful completion of the program. Ensures that Wellness Services are delivered as outlined in the relevant guidelines. Acts as a liaison between the center and corporate offices regarding operational activities and compliance with contracts.
Responds promptly and professionally to requests from the company and regulatory bodies. Analyzes data and employs sound judgment to resolve issues, including interpreting policies and making decisions that affect staff. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information and upholds the integrity of student data.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
Supervises and directs the Student Services Department. Serves as the lead representative of the organization at the operational site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adheres to all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring no manipulation of student data and that performance goals are met or exceeded.
- Manages the daily operations and supervision of Support Services, which includes Social Development, Dorm Life, Recreation, Career Transition Services, Wellness Services, Counseling, Human Resources, and related activities. Ensures a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment for students.
- Follows all approved Human Resources policies, ensuring a nondiscriminatory work environment with equal opportunities for all staff. Effectively manages resources to optimize overall performance.
- Fills staff vacancies promptly and motivates staff to fulfill their job responsibilities effectively.
- Utilizes effective time-management and delegation skills. Holds staff accountable for their performance, fosters career development, and addresses performance issues as necessary.
- Encourages a collaborative work environment, recognizes staff achievements, and proactively addresses performance concerns.
- Establishes beneficial community connections for education, employment, and training readiness. Promotes a positive image of the organization and builds relationships with community leaders.
- Mentors and models the required standards for success.
- Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population, addressing behavior appropriately and respectfully.
- Ensures that quality programs and services are available to students, continually seeking improvements to meet their needs.
- Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts and providing timely information as needed.
- Identifies problems, analyzes causes, and evaluates solutions before taking action. Follows up to ensure that issues are resolved effectively.
- Collaborates with staff across all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
- Accepts direction from the Center Director and may temporarily assume responsibilities of other departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. A valid in-state teaching certificate is preferred. Previous experience in teaching or within a similar program is advantageous.
