Overview

As a key member of the cybersecurity team at Considine Search, the Information Security Analyst plays a vital role in safeguarding the organization’s sensitive information and systems. Reporting directly to the Information Security Director, you will collaborate with a talented group of cybersecurity experts to maintain and enhance the Firm's information security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact or support for at least two of the Firm's security platforms, including but not limited to Palo Alto, FireEye, Microsoft Defender, and Splunk. This includes the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of these systems while continuously assessing new features for integration.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the security architecture to effectively support and creatively integrate various security technologies.
  • Participate in frontline security incident response as part of an on-call rotation, working alongside Managed Security Services Providers. This involves timely investigation and resolution of suspicious activities, including email threats and malware incidents.
  • Conduct thorough security reviews for vendors and projects, which includes stakeholder interviews, risk assessments, and providing actionable recommendations to ensure secure operations.
  • Throughout the system development lifecycle, evaluate the Firm's technology infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that appropriate controls are implemented.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in information technology security or related fields, with a strong focus on Microsoft security technologies.
  • Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH) are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell is a plus.
  • Technical expertise in areas such as next-generation firewalls, endpoint security, ethical hacking, and vulnerability assessment tools is essential.
  • Strong adherence to established processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing security projects, including requirement definition and project planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Compensation

The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $170,000.
