About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Operations: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Inventory Management: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Training and Development: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and ensures Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Productivity and Quality: Monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary, and maintains all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
