Position SummaryThe Senior Technician role requires a skilled and experienced professional to diagnose and repair complex drivability and electrical systems, while leveraging their leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team towards increased customer care and satisfaction. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented team, develop your technical expertise, and contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, with a focus on brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical individuals, ensuring seamless customer interactions and service delivery.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training, ensuring your skills and knowledge remain up-to-date.
- Assist fellow technicians and mechanics in performing technical activities, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessments.
- A.S.E. certification in at least 3 (three) of A1-A8 is required, with new hires having up to 2 years to comply.
- Maintain Federal, State, and Local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with strong reading, writing, and math skills.
