Job Description

Lia Toyota Northampton is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues using the latest technologies and equipment. Our service departments are equipped with the latest technologies & equipment including service drive alignment checker, alignment rack, and Hunter tire mounting and balancing machines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Service Technician experience required
  • Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair experience required
  • State Inspection certification required
  • ASE Certification recommended
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have clean & valid driver's license
