We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Inotiv. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep of our facilities, ensuring that all maintenance and facility service needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Advises management on facilities and maintenance issues, providing expert recommendations for resolution.
- Interacts frequently with contractors, maintenance technicians, and other service personnel to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service tasks.
- Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes adjustments as needed.
- Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Carries out a variety of plumbing maintenance, electrical, and carpentry functions as required.
- Operates a range of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
- Detects faulty operations, defective materials, and reports any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas at all times.
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a maintenance or service role, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general contractor work.
- Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. The work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise levels can be moderate, with occasional exposure to increased decibel levels. The role also involves exposure to live electrical supply, plumbing, and HVAC sources, as well as hazardous chemicals and materials.
