About the Role

Nitsch Engineering is seeking a skilled Highway/Transportation Engineer to contribute to our team in one of our Massachusetts offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop roadway and highway infrastructure projects
  • Prepare complex construction phasing and traffic management plans
  • Develop construction documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates for intersections, roadways, and multi-modal facilities
  • Apply standard engineering formulas to create calculations for roadway design, utility, and drainage design
  • Collaborate with project managers to coordinate technical design tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Massachusetts Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within one year
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in transportation design document preparation
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and specialized design programs
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and codes applicable to highway and traffic design
