General Overview:

The Construction Project Superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing the safety, schedule, quality, and daily operations of assigned construction projects. This position requires close collaboration with project managers and coordinators to ensure all project objectives are achieved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and organized job site, actively participating in safety meetings and adhering to OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication on-site, managing project security and deliveries.
  • Document daily progress through detailed reports and photographs, maintaining thorough records of project developments.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including tradespeople, government agencies, and clients.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of project plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers to engage with local officials and utility companies as necessary.
  • Assist in developing project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
  • Verify subcontractor compliance with necessary permits and licenses.
  • Lead job site meetings and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Compile and manage project documentation, including as-built drawings and closeout books.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience: A minimum of four years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Prolog, ProCore, or Primavera.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs and working in various construction environments. Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory when on-site.

This position is full-time and requires in-person attendance.
