Job Summary

Origis Energy Technicians is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Solar Technicians. As a Solar Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting our solar power plants, ensuring they operate at optimal levels and meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar power plants, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure proper working order.
  • Document all work, including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Train, mentor, and develop laborers into apprentices.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements to meet safety and plant standards.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 3 years of suitable employment experience
  • High aptitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and read electrical schematics
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with solar power systems
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
