Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Florida Atlantic University. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and counters
  • Sweep and wash floors, including high-traffic areas and common spaces
  • Empty trash and recycle containers, and dispose of trash from offices and common areas
  • Dust and wipe windowsills, doors, and common area surfaces
  • Operate floor scrubbers and other custodial equipment
  • Respond to and resolve spills and stains
  • Perform light maintenance, painting, and other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of ninth grade and one year of appropriate experience required
  • Valid Florida driver license required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of appropriate experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students
