Under the guidance of the practice physician and/or advanced practice provider (APP), and under the supervision of the Nurse Manager (RN) and/or Nurse Supervisor (RN), the Registered Nurse will deliver direct patient care, including patient triage (both in-person and via telephone), assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating a patient's individualized care plan and clinic visit.

Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately obtain and document patient vital signs; promptly report any abnormal findings to the treating provider.
  • Gather and record comprehensive patient history (Medical, Surgical, and Social) along with a focused physical assessment pertinent to the clinic visit, as per clinic protocols.
  • Administer medications and treatments to patients in the clinic, following the directives of a physician or APP.
  • Assist in in-office procedures related to clinic specialty, under the supervision of a Physician or APP, and document outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Review and triage incoming test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals; facilitate necessary follow-up communications with patients.
  • Support the utilization of resources to achieve patient outcomes and contribute to Facility (AMC), New York State, and National Quality data metrics.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately based on the licensure of LPN and/or MA.
  • Comply with AMC's regulatory agency (The Joint Commission) and internal compliance policies.
  • Participate in the orientation and education of newly hired staff.
  • Engage in continuous/annual education related to clinic specialty to maintain current knowledge of best practices.
  • Provide patient education regarding their visit and overall health and wellness.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from a state-accredited Registered Nursing program is required.
  • Current NYS RN licensure to practice professional nursing is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Certification in specialty, Ambulatory setting is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from physicians, patients, and their families, as well as other staff members.
  • Proficient in computer software applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
  • Ability to administer medications via all routes and calculate medication dosages accurately.

Salary Range:
$33.00/hr - $47.60/hr
