The Facilities Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in executing various maintenance tasks essential for preserving and enhancing the community's value. Key Responsibilities

  • Address all assigned maintenance service requests promptly
  • Execute tasks related to electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting
  • Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems as needed
  • Repair and maintain structures including showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
  • Plan and carry out preventative maintenance schedules
  • Conduct minor pool maintenance activities
  • Assist in overseeing work performed by external contractors
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as designated
  • Support grounds maintenance, including trash collection, sidewalk sweeping, and light landscaping
  • Prepare units for new residents
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices in compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations
  • Follow company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and relevant laws
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and carpentry
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
  • Effective communication skills with residents, colleagues, and management
  • Availability for emergency repairs at all times (24/7)
  • Capability to climb heights of up to 40 feet
  • Color vision and auditory ability

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in facility maintenance
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
