Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a sense of community and belonging.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need for support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates and progress reports.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 9 credits (3 child growth and development) OR child growth and development, and 1,000 hours in a center.
  • Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree preferred.
  • At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.

  • Competitive pay ranging from $20.75 to $24.75 per hour (based on education, experience, and teacher certification).
  • A hiring incentive of $1,000 after 100 days of employment.
