Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and be proficient in various technical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains office and plant buildings performing minor and routine replacement of parts, plumbing, cleaning and other related maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory agency codes.
  • Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Reviews daily maintenance and repair schedule.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance as instructed.
  • Requests tools and equipment needed for maintenance task when needed.
  • Regular walk-throughs to check for equipment leaks, unusual sounds etc that may fore warn of possible maintenance needed to avoid failure or safety hazard.
  • Accurately collects and records data such as pH, equipment maintenance data and part inventory.
  • Assist with maintaining maintenance work orders and other records.
  • Provides input for troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Abides by company policies, work instructions and safety regulations and submits ideas of improvement.
  • Keeps parking lot clean and checks that dumpster lid is kept down and drain or clear of debris.
  • Keeps gas yard clean and free of hazards.
  • Ensures work areas are kept clean and free of health or safety hazards.
  • Maintains tools & supplies and assure they are returned to proper storage location.
  • Assists with maintaining spare part inventory, including periodic physical counts.
  • Communicate policies, rules, and procedures to other if infractions are seen and notify manager when appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a technical training program in a maintenance trade, preferably with course work in electronics, hydraulics or wastewater systems, and at least two years' experience in maintenance or service in high-tech industries; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, operation manuals, technical procedures, or technical diagrams.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, and contractors.
  • Limited Building Maintenance Electrician (BME) or Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) License preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and explosives. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Protective safety apparel is required in most plant areas.

Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm

Wage: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE

Additional notes:

*Must know how to use hand tools, such as; wrenches, drills, saws, etc.

*Have a mechanical aptitude, such as; working on cars, building things, DIY projects, etc.

*Experience with wastewater systems is a plus; testing pH, monitoring and cleaning equipment, etc.

*Be willing to work as a team and take direction from Lead Tech and Foreman.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
