Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

Reports to: Chief Pharmacist, Regional Manager, Senior Vice President of Professional Services

Summary

A professional-level position requiring a graduate degree in pharmacy and licensure as a pharmacist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high standard of ethics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals according to professional standards and practices.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all customers and associates.
  • Maintains a productive work flow in the Pharmacy department when the Chief Pharmacist is not on duty.
  • Authorizes and approves associate purchases in the Pharmacy.
  • Maintains and enforces all company policies in the Pharmacy department.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Must have a graduate degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Must have and maintain a current license from the Board of Pharmacy of the state of practice.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly from one workstation to another.
  • Must be able to use a team approach in solving problems and giving direction on a daily basis.
  • Must be organized.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly from one workstation to another.
  • Must be able to work with full range of hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Must be able to lift/move items up to 40 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and less than 10 lbs constantly.
  • Must have depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally with staff and patients.
Work Environment

The Staff Pharmacist will work in a retail, healthcare, or closed-door setting, requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
