Job Title: Staff PharmacistReports to: Chief Pharmacist, Regional Manager, Senior Vice President of Professional ServicesSummaryProfessional level job requiring a graduate degree in pharmacy and licensure as a pharmacist.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks in a retail, healthcare or closed door setting, compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals according to professional standards and practices.Provides excellent customer service to all customers and associates. Responsible for maintaining a productive work flow in the Pharmacy department when Chief Pharmacist is not on duty. Authorizes and approves associate purchases in the Pharmacy.Maintains and enforces all company policies in the Pharmacy department. Makes sure that all functions of the Pharmacy comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.Additional RequirementsMust exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound, independent judgment, initiative and a high standard of ethics.Must be able to stand for a long period of time and lift moderate weights.Must be able to use a team approach in solving problems and giving direction on a daily basis.Must be organized.Education, Experience, and LicensureCollege Degree from an accredited College of PharmacyMust have and maintain a current license from the Board of Pharmacy of state of practice Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly from one workstation to anotherWork with full range of hands, wrists, and arms (i.e. Ability to pick up and pinch small items with fingers, and seize, hold, grasp or turn objects with hands)Constantly positions self or moves about the pharmacy to access product and suppliesAbility to lift/move items up to 40 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and less than 10 lbs constantlyVisual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction Must have depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of visionMust have ability to communicate verbally with staff and patientsMust be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced setting (filling scripts, answering phones, waiting on patients, etc.)
