Job Title: Inventory Specialist

At the University of Maryland Medical System, we are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of inventoried assets, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking and reporting on inventory levels, stock movements, and asset locations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues and improve inventory management practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and other inventory-related activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory.
  • Perform data entry and record-keeping tasks to maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of work experience in a related field preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
