Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individualized care needs, develop and implement comprehensive care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Medication Administration and Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy, self-management, and empowerment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure timely and accurate communication and coordination of care.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including assessments, care plans, and outcomes, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Education: Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Previous experience in pediatric cardiology or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications/Licenses: Current and valid Nebraska RN license or RN Compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire, and Pediatric Life Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
