Position Overview:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Systems Commissioning Engineer to oversee and evaluate mechanical systems within an airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:
The Commissioning Engineer will be tasked with the supervision and testing of various mechanical systems, including:

  • HVAC systems (boilers and chillers)
  • Plumbing systems
  • Building control systems
  • Lighting and power distribution

This role requires effective communication with team members and subcontractors to facilitate design reviews and implement necessary modifications for the electro-mechanical systems.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-10 years of commissioning experience
  • Knowledge of building codes and site safety protocols
  • The ability to work remotely while being present on-site for system testing

Education:
A degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) is required.

Certifications:
Preferred certifications include:

  • CxA
  • CCP
  • BCxP
  • NEBB
  • NETA
  • QCxP

Additional Skills:
Candidates should have:

  • A PE License
  • Experience with Facility Grid
  • Client coordination experience
  • Experience in the aviation or university sectors
  • Specific commissioning experience related to HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and control systems
  • Prior experience in testing and documenting electro-mechanical systems
