Position Overview:

Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage of $40
Regular weekly pay schedule.
Health insurance options available for full-time staff (minimum of 30 hours per week required).

Work Schedule:
36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am) or 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts (3pm-11:30pm).
Availability to work every other weekend is essential.
Participation in one major summer and one major winter holiday is required.

Employment Type:
This is a long-term placement opportunity.

Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted via phone.

Orientation:
Orientation sessions are held on the 1st and 16th of each month (if these dates fall on a weekend or holiday, the orientation will be scheduled for the next business day) from 8am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care and treatment to patients.
- Oversee the work of nursing staff and assume Charge Nurse/Shift Supervisor responsibilities as needed.
- Operate under general supervision while exercising independent nursing judgment.
- Execute both basic and advanced nursing tasks to meet the health needs of patients, including lab work and health screenings.
- Adhere to all agency, facility, and unit policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a drug screening and fingerprinting is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of experience in corrections or psychiatric nursing is required.

Licensure and Certifications:
- An active nursing license is required.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Up-to-date tuberculosis screening (Chest X-ray required for positive TB results).
- Current influenza vaccination (medical and religious exemptions available).
