Our Business ModelWe work in conjunction with insurance companies to provide medical screenings for individuals purchasing life and/or disability insurance policies.
The Health Screening ProcessAs an Independent Contractor/Examiner with APPS, you will be responsible for completing health screenings, which may include:
- Conducting medical history questionnaires and interviews
- Collecting physical measurements, such as height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and hip/waist measurement
- Collecting blood and urine specimens, as well as saliva samples when required
- Performing EKGs using a portable machine
You will need to document the client's medical history, including dates, treating providers, and contact information. You will also be responsible for preparing samples for shipping and sending paperwork to us.
Examiner RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Pass a background check
- Provide your own cell phone
- Hold a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance coverage
- Have a neat and professional appearance
- Possess a thorough knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Be familiar with internet and computer skills
- Demonstrate organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Possess the ability to record an accurate health history
- Perform an EKG (we can train you for this)
- Draw blood (top-notch phlebotomy skills are mandatory)
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
- Work independently and responsibly
As an independent contractor, you can set your own schedule and work at your own pace. Your reimbursement check will be based on the number of exams you complete, and you will be paid bi-weekly via direct deposit.
