Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare operating rooms for procedures, including setting up equipment and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • 2 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
