Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at McLaren USA. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are properly disinfected and assembled.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and providing supportive care to patients.
  • Perform scrub functions, including passing sterile surgical equipment to surgeons, tracking items used, and collecting and labeling specimens.
  • Transport patients after procedures and ensure operating rooms are clean, sterile, and stocked prior to next procedure.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining logs, and supporting administrative staff as needed.
  • Deliver compassionate support and attention to patients and families, ensuring compliance with health care regulations and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program.
  • 6 months of Surgical Technologist experience in a Surgical Center/OBGYN environment.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • One year of Surgical Technologist experience in a Surgical Center/OBGYN environment.
