Community Development Institute Head Start is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Nutrition Services Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health and nutrition services, including family services, health services, nutrition, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and nutrition programs to improve the well-being of Head Start students and their families.
- Collaborate with teachers, other managers, and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality health and nutrition services.
- Manage and oversee the CACFP program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for health and nutrition services, including family services and health services.
- Provide training and support to staff on health and nutrition-related topics.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and nutrition programs and services.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as public health, nutrition, or health education.
- Experience working in public health or nutrition, preferably with low-income clients.
- Experience and training in public health, nursing, health education, maternal and child health, or health administration.
- Knowledge of family-strengths/family-centered practice.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field.
- Experience working in a Head Start or Early Head Start program.
- Experience with program development and implementation.
