Ultrasound and Wilderness Medicine Fellowship

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a highly skilled emergency medicine physician to join our team as a fellow in ultrasound and wilderness medicine. This 18-month fellowship program is designed for emergency physicians who want to become leaders in ultrasound and wilderness medicine.

Program Overview

The fellowship will provide fellows with a comprehensive education in ultrasound and wilderness medicine, including clinical, research, teaching, and administrative skills. Fellows will gain experience in a broad range of clinical settings, including international field work, educational training, projects, and research. They will also serve part-time as clinical faculty in the Emergency Department at University Hospital and participate in medical student and resident education.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in clinical rotations in ultrasound and wilderness medicine
  • Conduct research projects in ultrasound and wilderness medicine
  • Teach medical students and residents in ultrasound and wilderness medicine
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to the fellowship program
Requirements

Applicants must have completed an emergency medicine residency and be board certified or eligible in emergency medicine. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in ultrasound and wilderness medicine and be able to commit to the 18-month fellowship program.
