Position Summary: The Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of machinery and equipment. This position requires performing regular maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to reduce downtime and enhance productivity. The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced support for operational activities, including instrumentation and mechanical tasks, under the guidance of the Superintendent.
- Perform maintenance work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights.
- Focus on troubleshooting and repairing valves, replacing and rebuilding cryogenic pumps, managing contractor workforces, and conducting both general and specialized facility maintenance.
- Offer additional support for remote locations and manage in-house projects, with occasional travel requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Proficiency in pump operations, pipefitting, valve maintenance, HVAC systems, and/or millwright tasks.
- Experience in pump rebuilding and installation.
- Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance management software.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
