Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Associate will play a critical role in driving sales growth and enhancing the customer experience at American Freight. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, meeting sales targets, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Identify customer needs and provide solutions using approved sales practices and guidelines.
  • Sales Performance: Meet or exceed associate performance standards consistently, including sales targets and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits, and availability, as well as delivery, installation, and/or service options.
  • Transaction Processing: Process customer transactions in the Point of Sale system, including sales, returns, and exchanges in accordance with authorized procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with other sales and sales support associates and cashiers to provide superior customer service, locate merchandise, assist customers, and answer phones.
  • Professional Development: Complete required training in the expected timeframe and participate in ongoing learning opportunities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Availability: Must have day, evening, and weekend availability for Full-Time roles, with flexible scheduling for Part-Time openings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits, and availability, as well as delivery, installation, and/or service options.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Point of Sale systems and ability to learn new technology quickly.
