Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Philanthropy Manager to join our Advancement team. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Advancement and collaborates closely with the lead Philanthropy Officer. The primary objective of this position is to enhance engagement in annual, major, and planned giving initiatives from our supporters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and secure leadership commitments at the $100,000+ level.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 150 leadership-level donors, prospects, and volunteers.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase donor participation and contributions.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of successful fundraising experience with a proven ability to close five, six, and seven-figure gifts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church and the Jesuits' national and international vision.
  • Experience with trusts, estates, and estate planning products, ideally from a university, nonprofit, or private sector background.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement with senior leadership, Board members, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Travel Requirements:
The candidate must be willing and able to travel extensively to meet with donors, with travel expectations of approximately 75%-90%. Availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary is also required.
