Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Psychology courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field, with 18 graduate hours in Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a maximum of five classes per academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Psychology courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate student progress and inform students in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • 18 graduate hours in Psychology
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
