Compensation:

Position Overview:
Are you enthusiastic about innovation and cutting-edge technology? Our Engineering and Technology Internship Program focuses on Embedded Systems, where you will engage in impactful projects while receiving mentorship from Eaton's esteemed leaders.

This 12-week paid internship will immerse you in both hardware and software product development support opportunities. You will either support a specific business unit or work with broader technologies across the organization.

Key Areas of Focus:
  • IoT product application and development
  • Firmware and software development for microcontrollers
  • Embedded hardware development for power distribution products

Upon completing the internship, your technical skills, combined with your business insights, will position you for consideration in Eaton's Engineering and Technology Development Programs upon graduation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in embedded systems and familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Java, and/or Python.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community activities.

Position Criteria:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.
  • Potential travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Engineering & Technology Assignment Manager.
  • Demonstrated geographic flexibility for relocation during the internship.

The internship culminates in a formal presentation where you will showcase your achievements to organizational leaders and receive valuable feedback on your performance.
