Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability and Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Design and Improvements: Develop and implement safety design modifications and improvements to equipment and facilities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Safety Investigations and Corrective Actions: Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Preventive Maintenance Programs: Develop, document, and improve preventive maintenance programs to support equipment availability and throughput.
  • Predictive Maintenance Programs: Develop, document, and improve predictive maintenance programs using techniques such as vibration analysis and thermo-graphic imaging to predict equipment failures.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment failures and loss of production, and assist maintenance personnel to return equipment to operation.
  • Production Delay Analysis: Analyze production delay data to establish and document preventive maintenance tasks, and generate continuous improvement projects based on production delay data.
  • Equipment Failure/Root Cause Analysis Reports: Prepare and review equipment failure/root cause analysis reports, and determine/evaluate corrective action items and their impact on preventive maintenance programs.
  • Cost Justifications and Work Orders: Develop cost justifications for improvement projects and corrective actions, and develop work orders to detail work requests needed to implement improvements projects or corrective actions.
  • Outside Contractor Coordination: Coordinate outside contractor work activities with maintenance personnel or production personnel as required to minimize impacts to cost and production.
  • Critical Spare Parts Assessments: Conduct critical spare parts assessments and parts standardization to ensure optimal equipment availability.
  • Standard Operating Procedures and Training: Develop and implement standard operating procedures, training, and skill development for all personnel to ensure a high level of competence and efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement: Determine and install appropriate performance metrics that will promote long-term continuous improvement programs consistent with the operating objectives of the department.
  • Problem Resolution and Project Engineering: Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships, and perform project engineering duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Formal training or experience with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs, and a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in Maintenance Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor position.

Relocation: Relocation is authorized for this position.
