SimonMed Imaging LLC is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing assigned medical imaging equipment using appropriate techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated medical imaging equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance and functional management inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Confers with manufacturer's representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment-related problems.
- Participate in training programs sponsored by SimonMed and/or other outside training institutions to acquire the requisite skills necessary to perform primary job duties and responsibilities.
- Should possess specialized knowledge in several specialized modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath. lab., linear accelerators, etc.
- OEM trained in Siemens and GE a plus
- Good communication and strong customer service skills
- Ability and willingness to serve "on-call" duty as required
- Must be willing to serve as a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s)
- Must be proficient in computer skills and telephone etiquette
- Can accommodate occasional evening/weekend work as needed and is able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
- Bachelor's degree in an electrical, biomed, electronic, or computer science discipline and at least 5-7 years of prior experience
This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
