  • Research and provide product and service information to customers using various resources including computer systems and catalogs.
  • Organize merchandise on shelves or racks in the sales area, ensuring an orderly display.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance sales to current and potential customers.
  • Conduct outbound sales or service calls and resolve any customer complaints that arise.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid background in technical support, HVAC components, and customer service/sales, along with intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience in Customer Service, Data Entry, Estimating, Purchase Orders, Sales, and Shipping/Receiving is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Counter Sales position, ideally within the HVAC sector.
  • Familiarity with air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including sales acumen, problem-solving abilities, and a customer service orientation, are mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently while achieving assigned goals and objectives within set timeframes.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exemplary customer service mindset with the capability to build long-term relationships.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must hold and maintain a current, valid Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English is necessary to ensure compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Must be able to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • The role requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone for extended periods.
  • Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May involve the use of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Must be capable of operating heavy machinery.
