Join Lucid Motors' Power Electronics Team

We're seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Lucid Motors. As a key member of our Power Electronics group, you will play a crucial role in developing industry-leading power converters for our luxury electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power electronics converters for automotive applications
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to implement technologies that define Lucid's powertrain
  • Conduct research and development of power converter topologies and control strategies
  • Work with manufacturing team to ensure efficient and high-yield production of power converters
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC)
  • Hands-on hardware experience in power converter design
  • Good understanding of power conversion topologies and control strategies, switching device characteristics and losses, gate driving circuit design, magnetics, capacitors, etc.
  • Good experience with design of analog/digital circuits
  • Experience with PCB layout and lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.)
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing and DFMEA
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic compatibility
  • Familiarity with environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for automotive applications
Education Requirements:

BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering. PhD preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Lucid Motors offers a competitive salary range of $140,000-$186,600 USD, plus a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program.
