Responsibilities:

This part-time position involves driving a transit vehicle in a safe manner on the route and time schedule specified. You will provide excellent customer service, operate fare boxes, electronic head signs, doors, lifts, and two-way radios. Additionally, you will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of transit vehicles, inform dispatch and maintenance when adjustments or repairs are necessary, and supervise passengers while riding the bus.

Requirements:

You must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements within 6 months of hire. Experience operating large motor vehicles is desired but not required.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $28.76, with opportunities for pay increases after 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 4 years of service. We also offer single health insurance, single dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid training to receive a Class B CDL, and opportunities for vacation and personal holidays.

Working Conditions:

This part-time position requires flexibility, including working shifts, evenings, holidays, on-call, and overtime. The regular schedule is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday during the school year. Summer hours are available and flexible, with 20 hours available per week.
