At First Student, we're seeking a skilled Gas and Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. Your expertise will be put to the test as you diagnose and repair complex issues with our Thomas C-2, 2014 Thomas flat nose, Chevrolet mini buses, and other vehicles.

Responsibilities:

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including safety inspections and DOT maintenance inspections
* Diagnose and repair brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
* Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently
* Assist with mobile emergency services as needed

Requirements:

* Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed
* At least 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education
* Possess a mechanic's tool set
* Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $24-$32, with an additional $0.25 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain. You'll also enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule, consistent year-round work, and opportunities for career advancement. Plus, you'll be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
