Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Head Start Coach and Education Facilitator to join our team at Elite Staffing and Consulting. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and coaching teachers in the implementation of the HighScope curriculum, ensuring that all areas of service are provided to children and families within their team of supervision.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model lessons in classrooms on a daily/weekly basis
  • Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the HighScope curriculum and varied assessments, the Framework for Teaching, and data analysis
  • Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other coaches
  • Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with program initiatives and recognized best instructional practices
  • Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, and information to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources
  • Support teachers in using data to improve instruction on all levels
  • Assist teachers with planning and scaffolding based on the individual developmental needs of each child and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their students
  • Support teachers by helping with the strategic how of teaching -- share multiple instructional strategies/processes with teachers during planning times
  • Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement
  • Ensure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards related to education, health, oral health, nutrition, disabilities, and mental health services
  • Organize workshops and training sessions for parents and staff in education, health, mental health, nutrition, and disabilities
  • Ensure program compliance with assessments, interventions, and treatment plans in education, health, mental health, nutrition, dental, and disabilities
  • Ensure emergency preparedness for Head Start and other programs
  • Follow all Board of Education and Policy Council policies, state laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Masters in Early Childhood Education
  • PQA reliable assessor
  • Formal training in curriculum, screening, and assessment tools (HighScope, ASQ, COR)
  • HighScope Certified preferred
