Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Jhppharma. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and training to system users, troubleshooting problems with desktop equipment and printers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide helpdesk support to users, resolving technical issues and answering queries
  • Create, manage, and disable user network accounts, ensuring secure access to company resources
  • Manage network file share security, including user and group access to files and folders
  • Install hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, and printers, for users
  • Inspect personal computer equipment and printers upon receipt from manufacturing, ensuring they meet company standards
  • Load specified software packages, including imaging operating systems and client applications, into computers
  • Respond to client inquiries, diagnosing system hardware, software, printer, and operator problems
  • Recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Coordinate activities with help desk or network services, ensuring seamless communication
  • Provide updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication
  • Replace defective or inadequate software packages, referring major hardware problems to service personnel
  • Follow corporate technical, validation, and change control standards and procedures
  • Assist IT management in developing desktop standards and evaluating new equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred, with four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Products, industry standard personal computer and printer architecture, and basic knowledge of networks
  • Key skill sets include Windows 7, Office 2010, Microsoft System Center, and SharePoint
  • Soft skills include ability to learn new technology quickly and work independently
  • Driver's license required, A+ and Microsoft certification desirable
