Senior Fire Investigator

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Investigator to join our team. As a key member of our investigation team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting fire and explosion scenes to determine their cause and origin.

About the Role
  • Analyze and interpret fire and explosion scenes to determine their cause and origin.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gathering evidence and data to support conclusions.
  • Prepare detailed written reports and provide clear, concise verbal presentations to stakeholders.
  • Testify in court as an expert witness, when necessary.
  • Mentor and train junior investigators, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to fire investigation or a related field.
  • Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) certification through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in public and/or private fire investigative duties, with a focus on origin and cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033 standards.
  • Able to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during periods of peak demand.
