Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and moderately complex maintenance and repair work on buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections, adjustments, installations, maintenance, and repairs on buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment. Operate motorized equipment, requisition materials and supplies, and maintain records. Communicate verbally and in writing with other team members. Work independently or as part of a team to achieve maintenance and repair goals. Perform other duties as assigned, including operating a motor vehicle, making deliveries, and picking up supplies.

Requirements:
Knowledge of building mechanical systems, electrical distribution systems, electronics, boilers, painting, and carpentry. Skill in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Ability to perform maintenance, follow instructions, estimate materials, and apply proper methods and techniques. Ability to work independently or with a team, solve problems, make decisions, and use good judgment. Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
